ChemEnggHelp blog site is concerned with Chemical Industries and Chemical Engineers. I am a Chemical Engineer, having around 21 years of experience in plants design, engineering and commissioning. My experience covers both continuous and batch plants. And, major plants I had designed & commissioned includes Pyridine, 3-Cyanopyridine, Niacinamide, Acetaldehyde, Acetic Acid, Acetic Anhydride etc. Moreover, I have working experience in other technologies like distillery, bulk & photo chlorination, multipurpose plant, waste heat recovery, incineration, bio-gas etc.
Apart from this, I am a certified Six Sigma black belt and have experience to apply Lean and DMAIC methodology for process improvements. During my experience as a Head/Lead in Business Excellence function, I spearheaded process improvement projects across different plant locations. And, approximate annual savings achievement from these projects were in the range of Rs. 40-45 crore. These savings were achieved from raw material and utility norm reduction, while major contribution used to come from capacity debottlenecking projects.
